For many people who get them, a tattoo is a symbol of who they are as a person. It is a way of wearing an idea, love, moment or philosophy right on their skin so that they (and others) can make a visual connection. Technically, tattoos are manmade scars that have been crafted into something intricate and beautiful. The tattoos on these two soul mates, deep in the throws of love, are meant to spread positivity with their messages of happiness.
Created by artist Lika Kvirikashvili, this design is meant to show how exceptional our scars can make us, whether they are on the outside or within our past and emotions. Bad times can turn into valuable lessons and the chance to grow stronger and wiser. They also turn you into a more complex and thoughtful human being. So, while they may hurt, some scars are worth the pain.
