What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you see yourself the way the rest of the world sees you? It’s unlikely that you do. Many people suffer from issues with body image, seeing only the flaws and imperfections with their own bodies. No matter how beautiful the world might see them, all they can see when they look in the mirror is flaws. They focus on one thing that they don’t like about themselves, ignoring all of the good.

This design, by Jordan Bouma, was created to remind you to look past those flaws. If you don’t, you lose a part of yourself in the mirror. You get trapped in the mirror, broken into shards.  You can’t get past your “imperfections” to see the whole picture.

So, you have a birthmark…wrinkles…a hairy back. You can’t focus on the features that you don’t like. Because the truth is, you are perfect in your very own, very unique way. Embrace your body for what it is- a beautiful vessel for a beautiful soul.
