Being a police officer is a difficult job. What they have to see and deal with is unimaginable. It’s tragic when some officers become the monstrous things they see in the night. According to Criminology Careers Expert, Timothy Roufa, “The majority of officers are very well aware of the high ethical standard they are held to, and want very much to uphold the public trust. While they do stick together in many ways, only a select filthy few fail to understand that bad cops make all officers appear unethical.”
The Peekaboo Police design is a concept about officers who slowly lose themselves in criminal acts. This design touches on a difficult concept, and is not some anti-police message.
Artist Jordan Bouma likes to focus on designs that spread awareness about difficult topics. He has created pieces related to alcoholism, self-esteem, and the effects of media on society- as well as others. Jordan commonly uses bears and other animals as symbols within his art.
